From personalised travel planning to dinner beside the sea, this year’s openings have given Westbourne more than new names on its shopfronts.
Westbourne has welcomed four distinctive arrivals in 2026, each adding a different experience to the neighbourhood. A new café has expanded the choice for breakfast and lunch, a travel boutique has brought tailored holiday planning to the high street, and two venues have created fresh places to meet over food and drinks. Together, they give locals more ways to spend time in Westbourne, from Poole Road and Seamoor Road down to Alum Chine Beach.
At 44 Poole Road, Coffee Club Westbourne brings another option for the morning coffee run or a leisurely start to the day. The café, which says it opened in 2026, focuses on hearty breakfasts and relaxed lunches, with food it describes as largely handmade each day.
For anyone meeting a friend before browsing the shops, or looking for somewhere to sit down over an English breakfast, it adds a welcoming new stop in the centre of the village.

Westbourne’s new arrivals extend beyond food and drink. Agent Nouveau opened its boutique luxury travel consultancy at 82 Poole Road, celebrating its launch on 28 January 2026.
Created by Janine Marshall of Janine Loves Travel, the space offers a more personal way to plan a trip. Clients can talk through their ideas with travel specialists, who then develop tailored itineraries for them to consider. Agent Nouveau also hosts travel and lifestyle events, adding a new kind of gathering place to the high street.

At 25 Seamoor Road, COYA by Nicholas James has brought a new choice for an evening out in Westbourne. Open following an extensive renovation, the venue pairs a drinks menu with small plates designed for sharing or grazing.
It fills the space between a quick drink and a full restaurant meal: somewhere to settle in, order a few dishes and let the evening unfold.

The year’s changes reach beyond the village centre. At Alum Chine Beach, Alum Beach Hut fully reopened at the beginning of March 2026 after the former Vesuvio site was renovated and transformed.
Now a restaurant, bar and coffee house, it offers different reasons to make the walk down to the seafront: coffee after a stroll, a relaxed lunch or a longer meal with the beach close by. It also gives Westbourne a food and drink venue that connects the village with its coastline.

These four openings show the range of what a neighbourhood high street can offer. Westbourne has gained another everyday café, a place to plan a carefully considered holiday, a fresh setting for evenings out and a renewed destination at Alum Chine. Each gives people one more reason to visit, and one more reason to stay a little longer.
