Every Paws Matters Bournemouth

Every Paw Matters is a Bournemouth-based charity dedicated to supporting pets and their owners in need across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, and surrounding areas. Run by a team of committed volunteers, the charity focuses on compassionate and practical assistance for vulnerable individuals and their pets facing challenges like homelessness, domestic violence, illness, or eviction.

Key Activities:

•  Pet Support: Provides essential food supplies (including non-fridge packs and ready meals) for dogs and cats of homeless individuals or those in need, delivered multiple times a week across the BCP area.

•  Crisis Foster Care: Offers temporary fostering for pets whose owners cannot care for them due to circumstances like homelessness or domestic issues, ensuring pets are not permanently surrendered.

•  Long-Term Care: Supports elderly or special-needs pets, often fostering them for life, with donations covering specific food and veterinary costs.

•  Advocacy: Campaigns for policy changes, particularly urging BCP Council to assess pet-friendly housing on a case-by-case basis, as blanket policies often separate vulnerable people from their pets, which can be critical to their well-being.
